Category: Collaboration

Overview

This collaboration merged the streetwear brand Diamond Supply Co. with the sports heritage of ’47 Brand. Developed as a retailer-exclusive request by marketing, the collection was created for LIDS and stadium accounts, later expanding into wider lifestyle distribution.

Creative Direction

The design intent was to bridge skate and streetwear culture with licensed sportswear, creating a premium crossover product. The headwear incorporated overlapping patch applications with team logos fused with Diamond’s iconic diamond marking  offered in wool blend fabrics with pop colored undervisor for bold contrast.

The apparel graphics leaned into the intersection of fan identity and lifestyle culture, allowing fans to represent both their favorite teams and a fashion-forward streetwear brand.

Contribution

  • Designed headwear collection (’47 CLEAN UP MF and ’47 MVP DV shapes).
  • Created team patch systems integrating NBA team logos with Diamond Supply branding.
  • Led apparel graphic direction to maintain cohesion across headwear and tops.
  • Oversaw application/material callouts (wool blends, garment washed overlapping patches, flip visors).

Strategy

  • Position ’47 Brand in the lifestyle streetwear category through collaboration to grow lifestyle catagory.
  • Engage younger consumers by leveraging Diamond Supply’s skate/street credibility.
  • Ensure scalability of design system for multiple teams and leagues.
